London Grace [Gifted]

Before COVID-19 took the country by storm and put us into lockdown, I was lucky enough to be invited to London Grace in Chelmsford on Bond Street to have a bit of a pamper before Mother’s Day. The organisers had even arranged for us to have our hair, make up and nails done as well as a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival. As much as I love having nice nails, it’s more of a luxury for em and I only get them done for special occasions or if I feel like I have enough spare money to justify it. So when I received the email asking if I’d like to attend – I jumped at the chance! Unfortunately Mac pulled out of the event as they were advised to do because of COVID-19 and my hair was already wavy as I had done it that morning so I just got my nails done.

As it was in Chelmsford, Tom came with me so afterwards we could have a little date night. Little did we know it would be our last one for months! We can’t wait for this to be over so we can go on a proper, summer date. When we drove into Bond Street car park, we saw that London Grace was literally opposite so I didn’t have to worry about trying to find it! I have to say, it is gorgeous inside! So bright and clean – but not in a clinical way. It was full of lights, pastel colours and there was even a rack with some boutique clothing on.

I decided to go for ‘Art Basil’ as my colour. It had a bit of a sparkle to it and green isn’t something I would normally pick. Jessica, who did my nails, did them quite quickly and efficiently. She also gave me some good advice on how to look after my nails and which products to use on them. I have always struggled maintaining gel nails as they tend to chip after a week or so. I actually purchased the London Grace cuticle oil and it is AMAZING. I am amazed at how much difference it has made. I used to always get broken skin around my fingers, but since using the oil, I barely have any. Plus, I am washing my hands A LOT at the minute so trying to keep my hands moisturised is tough.

London Grace do make up, hen parties and more. As they were licensed, you’re able to enjoy a glass or two of fizz while you get pampered and their varnishes are all available to purchase. I came away with a goody bag too which included a price list, a loyalty card, a nail file (but a good sturdy one) and a revive and repair varnish. They had a huge variety of colours and I liked that they were all available to buy. After we were put on lockdown, I actually purchased an LED lamp from Amazon. It’s not as good as someone else doing them, but I love being able to do them. When we’re free to carry on with normal life, I’m going to go and purchase some of the varnishes as they had so many dreamy colours.

It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon – especially as it was my last outing before lockdown. Thank you for having me and for the invite. The London Grace staff are exceptionally friendly and professional. If you’re in Chelmsford or live near there, you must visit! Apparently the TOWIE stars often do filming there too so you know it’s good!
