A Name Change.

When I first started my blog in 2015, I didn’t really know what to call it, or how to properly utilise WordPress. It took me a good three months to come up with the name – The Pursuit of Love and Happiness. I chose this name because when I began writing on my blog, I felt a bit lost in life, didn’t really know which direction to take and felt generally unhappy with life. Hence, The Pursuit of Love and Happiness. I thought it would be good to document ‘my journey’ to making myself happier and to love myself. Even writing that I’m cringing a bit, but at the time, blogging was a cathartic creative outlet and still is, but I feel more in control of the content I post now and feel like it has more of a niche.

This weekend I decided to change the name and logo of my blog as I wanted it to be clearer what my blog was about and I’m hoping it will attract more followers on my social media accounts. I’ve renamed my blog ‘Gemma and Life’. As my blog is a food and lifestyle blog, I didn’t feel like the old name represented this and as I’m hoping to monetise my blog at some point in the future, the name needs to be clear and that my blog is about things in my life.

Now I’ve got the ball rolling on that, there’s a few other things I want to do in order to grow my online following and engage with similar accounts.
